Alcohol beverage manufacturer Suntory Global Spirits has selected Manuel Cabañas as its new Senior Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer, according to a company announcement released on August 25.press release

The personnel change will take effect on September 4. At that time, Cabañas will lead the global supply chain organization, covering functions such as manufacturing, distribution, quality, procurement, and operations, serving brands including Jim Beam and Maker's Mark. Cabañas has been with Suntory since 2000 and will report directly to President and CEO Greg Hughes.

"Our supply chain organization is driven by a group of passionate, professional, and dedicated outstanding talents," Cabañas said in the press release. "I look forward to building on the existing solid foundation, continuously strengthening our capabilities, and working together to support the company's growth goals while delivering the quality, innovation, and reliability that consumers and customers expect."

Prior to this new role, Cabañas served as the company's Vice President of Global Manufacturing, leading the global manufacturing network and overseeing operational quality, safety, and engineering capabilities. Hughes commented in the press release: "Throughout Manuel's career, he has earned widespread respect across the company by consistently delivering results, developing teams, and strengthening capabilities. As we continue to solidify our business and position for long-term growth, I am confident that Manuel is the right leader to guide supply chain into the future."

Cabañas will succeed Alex Alvarez. Alvarez is leaving Suntory,to take on the role ofSenior Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer at Constellation Brands' beer division, which owns brands such as Corona and Modelo.
